Tender Leaf Wooden Animal Weasel

The weasel is long and low: a stretched body on short legs, head lifted slightly. The belly is painted lighter than the back, which gives the side view a clean line from nose to tail tip. Of all the woodland animals, this is the one that gets pushed through gaps in play — between logs, under the rim of the basket.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
