Tender Leaf Wooden Animal Lion

The lion stands square on four legs, his mane painted a shade darker than the body and his tail resting against a hind leg. The head is turned slightly forward, as if something has just caught his attention. In play he almost always ends up as the one in charge: the animal that roars and calls the others together.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
