Binibamba
12 productsBinibamba: merino wool and sheepskin for your little one
Binibamba makes wool clothing and accessories for outings and home. The collection ranges from a footmuff and sheepskin buggy liner to booties, a suit, a vest and a blanket. Merino wool appears in different forms: as knitted or processed fabric, but also as sheepskin, with the wool still attached to the hide. This difference affects how a product feels and how you care for it.
Wool and sheepskin are different materials
Wool fibres trap air and can absorb moisture. This provides insulation and allows the material to take up moisture from its immediate surroundings and release it again. How warm a child feels also depends on clothing, the surroundings and the thickness of the product. A wool accessory does not replace that assessment.
Sheepskin has a leather underside as well as wool. It needs different treatment from a wool garment. Washing instructions for a merino suit therefore do not automatically apply to a buggy liner or footmuff.
A footmuff or a separate liner
The Puffmuff footmuff wraps around the lower body and closes with a zip. It combines merino sheepskin with an outer layer of recycled material that resists wind and splashes. The Buggy Snuggler is an open liner placed beneath and behind your child. With a liner, clothing and other coverings determine how much additional warmth you provide.
The choice mainly depends on how you will use it. Check the dimensions and harness openings of a footmuff or liner. The harness must remain usable according to the pushchair manufacturer’s instructions.
The rest of the collection
- For hands on the handlebar. Buggy Mittens are merino sheepskin mittens for the person pushing the buggy.
- Clothing and booties. The Merino Snugglesuit is a wool suit. The Snuggle Vest is a sleeveless layer with wooden buttons. Merino Booties combine merino wool with a soft leather sole.
- For home. The range includes a separate sheepskin and a 75 × 100 cm wool blanket. The Lil’Hottie is a hot-water bottle with a wool cover and has its own instructions for use.
Size and fit
For clothing and booties, the measurements on the product page matter more than the age label alone. Compare the stated length with the size your child needs. Also check the Snugglesuit version: the foot openings differ by size. For buggy accessories, consider both the product dimensions and the harness system.
Care for each product
Airing and spot cleaning are often the first steps. Only brush sheepskin as described on the care label. According to its product instructions, the Puffmuff must not go in the washing machine or tumble dryer. Follow the separate care instructions for clothing and blankets rather than using one wool cycle for the entire collection.
Frequently asked questions about Binibamba
What is the difference between the Puffmuff and Buggy Snuggler?
The Puffmuff is a footmuff with a closable front. The Buggy Snuggler is an open sheepskin liner. They cover your child in different ways.
Can all Binibamba products be machine washed?
No. Sheepskin and wool clothing in particular have different care requirements. The Puffmuff must not be machine washed. Check each item’s own label.
Are Merino Booties made entirely of wool?
The booties have a merino wool upper and a soft leather sole. Take both materials into account when cleaning them.
How can I tell whether a liner fits my buggy?
Compare its dimensions and harness openings with your buggy’s seat and harness system. The pushchair brand alone is not enough to establish the fit.
